Establish a Company in Dubai Auto Zone

Dubai Auto Zone (DAZ) was established in 2000 with the purpose of exporting automotive products on the Asian and African markets with an increasing demand in this field. DAZ is a business market which attracts foreign direct investments due to an advantageous tax regime and state incentives offered to foreign investors opening a company here. Our Dubai lawyers can present to you the information you need to know about the business opportunities arising in DAZ and can provide legal support at the time of company formation.

Tax system and incentives in DAZ

The main authority in DAZ is Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority, providing licenses and administrations services to companies set up here. In order to receive a license in DAZ, your company must have operations in the trading automotive field. Please note that the DAZ legislation prohibits trading of spare parts or parts of cars; our attorneys in Dubai can offer you more information about this provision.

The most important tax exemptions and incentives applied to companies in DAZ are the following:

  • • no corporate tax (under certain condiitons), or personal income tax;
  • • full foreign ownership in the company opened in DAZ;
  • • full repatriation of profits and capital;
  • • no restrictions on currencies;
  • • you can hire foreign citizens, as there are no restrictions in this matter;
  • • logistics and infrastructure adjusted to the needs and purpose of DAZ.

One time-consuming aspect of owning a business is accounting. The UAE does not require independent contractors to file too many accounting papers. This is also the case of the Dubai freelancer visa which comes with very few requirements in terms of financial statements to file and taxes to pay.

One of the most popular ways for people from around the world to make the UAE their place of residence and business is through the Dubai investment visa. The program entered into effect in 2019 as a way to issue long-term residency visas.
